Yb atoms in optical tweezers make great qubits! We are building a novel quantum hardware platform based on neutral atoms trapped in reconfigurable optical tweezers. We have chosen Yb atoms due to long coherence time, great tunability and addressability as well as a rich Rydberg structure for implementing multi-qubit quantum gates. Our platform will open up new opportunities to explore novel routes towards fault-tolerant quantum computation.

Atoms arrived!

Our atomic source has arrived, as well as the first lasers, and testing is underway!

Special thanks to Yb lab for the hospitality.
