PhD (Dottorato di ricerca)
You can join the group as a PhD student. The duration of PhD activity is normally three years. You can find information about PhD positions opened by University of Florence at this webpage. The number of opened positions is about 10 per year for all Physics disciplines.
LENS also organizes an European PhD school on Atomic and Molecular Physics and Quantum Optics. This school is organized in collaboration with Universidad Complutense de Madrid and is sponsored by the Italian Ministry for the University. The number of opened positions is about 5-10 per year.
In both cases, PhD courses start at the beginning of the year, while the deadline for applications is usually set in the summer before.
